Licensing

We play recorded music, and we think the people who make it should be paid for it. Simple as that. Cledvibes Radio is a fully licensed station, so every track we play, from a chart record to an artist's first track, goes out legally and fairly.

There are two sides to any piece of recorded music, and we're licensed for both. Our PPL licence covers the sound recording, the performers and the labels who actually made the record you're hearing. Our PRS for Music licence covers the song underneath it, the writers and publishers who put it together. Between them, the performer, the label, the songwriter and the publisher all get their share whenever their music goes out on Cledvibes Radio.

That matters to us more than it might to most. We're built around independent and emerging artists, the people who feel it hardest when a station cuts corners. Being properly licensed isn't box-ticking; it's part of running a station that artists can actually trust with their work.
