Coastal erosion forces cancellation of Ocean Way Festival weeks before planned debut
Well, that's a shame! Nothing quite like Mother Nature serving up a reminder that even the best-laid festival plans can literally wash away. Ocean Way Festival in Santa Monica was meant to be a cracking new addition to the calendar, and the organisers clearly aren't throwing in the towel entirely if they're already plotting a return for next year. Still, there's got to be a fair bit of scrambling happening right now, especially for anyone who'd already booked time off or grabbed their tickets. It's a good lesson in why festivals need proper contingency plans these days, and hopefully the team bounces back stronger.
