Blimey, that's quite a streak. Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" has just knocked Mariah Carey's Christmas juggernaut off its perch to become the longest running number one on the Hot 100 chart, and honestly, it says something fascinating about what audiences want right now. For Cledvibes Radio listeners who keep an ear on what's happening in the wider music world, this is the kind of moment that shows how country music continues to dominate the global charts in ways that would have seemed unthinkable a decade ago. Whether you're a country devotee or just curious about what's capturing the world's attention, a song that can hold its own at the top for 23 weeks straight is worth paying attention to.
