Crypta are serving up something genuinely lush with "A Portrait of Decay", which is not something you'd usually associate with death metal. What's brilliant about a track like this is that it proves heavy music doesn't have to sound murky or one-dimensional, and that's exactly the kind of craft Cledvibes Radio listeners appreciate, whether they're into metal or not. If you've been sleeping on death metal because you thought it was all blast beats and indecipherable vocals, this might be your moment to reconsider.
