KISS are giving us a serious blast from the past with this Rock and Roll Over reissue, and fair play to them for going the full deluxe treatment with a century of rare material. For those of us who cut our teeth on stadium rock's theatrical excess, there's something rather brilliant about a band still willing to crack open the vaults half a century on. It's the kind of deep-dive reissue that rewards the devoted fans who've stuck with them through thick and thin, whilst also being a proper reminder of why they mattered in the first place.
