LCD Soundsystem hitting their 100th New York residency show is the kind of achievement that makes you realise how deeply woven they are into a city's musical fabric, even if they're technically an internet radio station's kind of band. What's particularly sweet about this is that Al Doyle's got a solo album on the way as well, which means the LCD universe is expanding even as they're marking this milestone. For Cledvibes Radio listeners who've followed these lads over the years, it's a reminder that some artists just keep finding new reasons to show up and do the work, whether that's a hundredth show or a first solo venture. Holiday season in New York with LCD sounds like exactly the kind of thing that'll get people talking about why this band matters.
