Sylvan Esso makes music available on Spotify again after year-long boycott
Sylvan Esso have decided to return to Spotify after taking a principled stand against the streaming platform, and fair play to them for at least trying to make change happen. A year without their music on one of the world's biggest streaming services takes real conviction, even if ultimately the economics of the music industry mean independent artists sometimes have to compromise. It's a reminder that Cledvibes Radio listeners who value artists' integrity should think about where they're streaming from and whether direct support through Bandcamp or live shows might be worth the extra effort.
