Matt Berninger's gone and done a solo thing with Type It Up, and honestly, there's something rather lovely about hearing The National's distinctive baritone in a different context. If you're the sort who appreciates a bit of artistic exploration beyond the main band, this EP is worth your time, and the vinyl pressing coming in December gives you time to decide whether you want it gathering dust on your shelf or actually getting spun. Cledvibes Radio listeners tend to appreciate artists who aren't content just doing the one thing, so this feels like it might be right up your street.
